Have you ever had an energy drink? Do you know how much caffeine you consume in one day?

Energy drinks have become very popular, especially among teenagers. Scientists and Health Officicials are still not completely sure of the effect of the various chemical ingredients on the body. There have been a lot of negative health effects associated with them, such as sleep disorders, headaches, dizziness, and eaven death. Because of the large amounts of caffeine in energy drinks, which range from 5 mg to 505 mg, they can become deadly when consumed in large quantities, especially if the drinker has underlying heart conditions, or is young and therefore still developing.There have been multiple cases where teenagers have died after consuming energy drinks.

 

 Most young children and teenagers that consume energy drinks are unaware of these reprecussions, which is evident in their irresponsible consumption of energy drinks.

 

In this webquest, you will research the health effects of energy drinks to determine whether they are suitable for teenage consumption.
